thank you so much for the comforting words. they are much appreciated. loss is universal and death is guaranteed for all of us. whenever i see it closely like this, i'm reminded of just how valuable each moment of life is. i thank god for the moments i'm blessed with so that i'm able to read your blogs and talk to you. i'll be able to read blogs and catch up when i get home. doing the dial up thing from a laptop when there's only one line to the house makes it impossible for me to read like i want to. just want to let you know i'll be to your spots next week.
i've had a week to deal with my uncle's death. the funeral was tuesday. for the last three nights, i've been trying to catch up on the experience of new york. i've gone to manhattan every night and have hung out until at least 5 a.m. each time. new york city is indeed the city that never sleeps.
a couple of the places we went to: one and one, karma, joe's pub, coyote ugly (that place smelled like ass). i forgot the other names, but we hopped around to at least ten spots last night alone.
i'll be in manhattan again tonight. i want to check out the poetry cafe, but it's not a definite. i've got a couple of folk to contact and i hope you are able to meet up with me tonight cuz it's my last night in town!
in the meanwhile, thanks again. your kindness and compassion is the food my spirit needs to thrive.
